Juli Bunting

Juli Bunting is the former Executive Director of WashCOG, having served in that capacity from 2019 to 2025. Prior to becoming ED, Bunting provided communications consulting to the board and also participated as a board member.
Bunting studied Mass/Speech Communications at Moorhead State University and Political Science at the University of Texas in Arlington. She was a broadcast journalist in the Dakotas and Texas prior to moving to the Pacific Northwest in 1993. She was married to the late Kenneth F Bunting who was a co-founding board member of WashCOG. She owned and operated a event management company specializing in large scale non-profit fundraising events.
In 2018, Bunting wrote a comprehensive report for Casey Family Programs, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Alliance for Education, the City of Seattle, and Seattle Public Schools on discipline disparities by race in public schools
Bunting recently relocated to Columbia, Missouri where she is volunteering with the Afred Friendly Press Partners and continues to serve as a board member for WCOG all the while enjoying her retirement.
